Discharge Procedures

 

1.

After successful medical assistance is provided to the patient, a “May Go Home” order will be ordered by the attending physician.

2.

Upon the given order, the discharge process will be coordinate with the Nurse’ at the station.

3.

The nearest of kin will be advised to return the TV remote control and Watcher’s pass to the Nurse Station.  A corresponding clearance slip will be issued and such will be presented to the billing section.

4.

After settling the accounts, the billing section issues two (2) copies of discharge slips.

5.

The discharge slips will be presented to the Nurse’ at the station as clearance.

6.

The Charge Nurse on duty instructs the Nursing staff available to facilitate the discharge and keeps one copy of the discharge slip and will be attached in the patient’s chart as record.

7.

The other copy will be presented at the guard on duty at the main door as clearance which will be forwarded to the admitting section
